Movie Released on Laxmi Puja, October 31 (Kartik 15), Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi initially faced significant challenges at the box office due to high competition from Bollywood (Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 & Singham again) and Hollywood (venom) films and a cast of relatively low-profile actors. On its first day, the film earned around 10 lakh NPR , leaving the creators disappointed with the modest turnout.
However, the movie quickly gained traction thanks to its relatable storyline and emotional appeal, which resonated with audiences across Nepal. Positive word-of-mouth spread rapidly, driving attendance and boosting box office collections. By the end of its fifth day, the film’s earnings had surged to NPR 4 crore 87 lakh.
As the film continued to capture the hearts of viewers, its performance only grew stronger. By the seventh day, Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi had amassed an impressive total of NPR 7 crore 50 lakh. The excitement around the film reached new heights on the eighth day, with unofficial estimates suggesting it brought in an additional NPR 2 crore 50 lakh in a single day.
The QFX multiplex chain has recognized Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi as a superhit, reflecting the film’s widespread popularity. It was also released in Japan, with its debut in Tokyo’s Nakano Jiro Hall showing to a full house.
